The school has another symbol of peace and reconciliation which you will see in the foyer, outside the school office.
It is a Cross of Nails presented to the school by Coventry Cathedral in England, on our 20th anniversary on 6th March 2002, in the Waterfront Hall.
This cross is given to various schools, churches and organisations which are committed to peace and reconciliation in areas of conflict. There are over 200 centres in over 60 different countries, including the Corrymeela Community in County Antrim. Lagan College is one of a number of schools that are a part of this international community of reconciliation, which started in Coventry and is still based there today. One of these schools is the Bluecoat School in Coventry. Lagan College is now linked with this school and visits have been made both ways.
