What if I lose some of my books or other equipment?
We hope that you will try your best to keep your books and equipment safe. Keep them in your schoolbag when you are in school and travelling to / from school, and have a safe place at home where you keep them all when you remove them from your schoolbag. However, we know there is a chance that things might still get lost from time to time.
If you lose something small like a pen or a ruler, a teacher should be able to lend you one until you can get a new one. We recommend that you have spare pens / pencils with you, as they are very easily to leave behind in a classroom without noticing.
If you lose a bigger piece of equipment (for example, your pencilcase, a book or your PE kit) in school, tell your form teacher or another teacher and they can send an email to all staff to find out if any of them have found it.
If you lose an item at home, get someone on your family to help you to look for it. If a book or file with your work in it is definitely lost, tell your teacher for that subject as soon as possible so you can get a new copy of the work that was in it.
